Clinical Corners
Welcome to AMDA's Clinical Corners. This section was developed to provide a source of information on topics that are relevant to you as long term care practitioners. Articles, tools and resources, lists of products and publications (including clinical practice guidelines [CPGs] and tool kits for implementation of the CPGs), and web resources/links related to various topics are all available at the click of a mouse to help you meet the challenges of providing quality health care to our long term care population.
For sites that are sponsored by manufacturers, AMDA has an oversight policy for approving materials posted on the clinical corners site. The materials are sent to the chairs of the clinical practice committee and clinical practice guideline steering committee for review. Once both chairs grant approval, we post them. If there are any hesitations or questions, we then send out the material for review to the entire clinical practice committee for comment. We then go with the majority consensus. Relevant materials are added by the approval of the committee chairs, such as the AMDA clinical practice guidelines, articles, or links that are related to the clinical topic.
We welcome your suggestions and ideas for individual clinical corners improvements or additional information & future topics. If you have any ideas, suggestions or future topics, please email us at ca@amda.com.
