Purpose
AMDA appreciates the support and recognition of our industry partners through the AMDA Advocate Recognition Program. The program is designed to:
- Create a system to recognize the contributions of industry to AMDA projects
- Improve communication between AMDA and industry
- Create and facilitate partnership opportunities between AMDA and industry
- Recognize our top advocates by offering them priority opportunities to showcase their research and products while supporting AMDA's mission and educational activities
How does the program work?
AMDA has established advocate levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Companies that reach a certain level of support throughout the year are recognized at the appropriate level. With each advocate level comes a variety of opportunities and benefits not available to others who provide support.
Companies who are interested in AMDA's work are invited to support projects and will receive one point for every dollar given. Any money given to AMDA for projects, meetings, etc., is eligible. Contributions to the AMDA Foundation and advertising revenue for JAMDA and Caring for the Ages are not included as they are not direct support to AMDA. Double points are awarded for AMDA Education (curriculum and unrestricted educational grants) and support of networking events (receptions, breaks, and meal functions). AMDA manages the support and points internally. This program runs September 1-August 31 of each year. The points are zeroed out on September 1 of each year.
By accumulating points, your company can secure choice exhibit space, symposia sessions, and other special benefits at the AMDA Annual Symposium. Exhibits and industry supported symposia slots are assigned starting with the top advocate and working down the list in succession. If you have any questions about the Advocate Recognition Program, please contact Megan Brey, Director of Meetings, at 410-992-3127 or by e-mail at mbrey@amda.com.
Special recognition will be presented to companies for every 5 years of continued status as a Gold or Platinum Advocate, beginning with the 2004 year.
