State Chapters Section Has New Web Address: Adjust Your Bookmarks
In order to better organize online State Chapter information, we have created a new web address: www.amda.com/chapters.
The new web address is concise and easy to remember.
All of the existing information and fact sheets are there, only the web
address has changed.
Please change your bookmarks and links to the new web address.

New Resource Sections on HIPAA and Liability
We have developed two new sections on the AMDA web site: the first
is focused on HIPAA resources and the second on liability issues.
The new HIPAA Resources section features articles and
frequently-asked questions about HIPAA and the evolving issue of health
information privacy as well as links to legislative and regulatory
information--including information on state privacy statutes. Visit www.amda.com/federalaffairs/hipaa.
The new Liability Coverage and Risk Management Resources for the
Medical Director and Attending Physician section contains important
information about liability coverage for medical directors, updates on
federal and state legislation, and an excerpt from an upcoming revision
to AMDA's Model Agreement Package for Nursing Facility Medical Director
Services that addresses liability coverage. Visit www.amda.com/federalaffairs/liability.
Visit AMDA Discussion Board Today!
"Recreation therapy to treat disturbing behaviors of dementia."
"Assisted living medical services." "Susceptibility of nursing home
residents to West Nile Virus." These are some of the topics members are
discussing on AMDA's new online Discussion Board. AMDA members can use
the discussion board to share information and ideas, ask and respond to
questions, and participate in ongoing discussions.
Surf over to www.amda.com/discussionboard
and get involved. Review and respond to existing messages or post a
message of your own to begin a new discussion. A special feature allows
you to be notified by e-mail when another member responds to your
message.
If you have any questions or comments about AMDA's web site, please
