The Hospice Foundation of America's (HFA) 10th Annual National Bereavement Teleconference will focus on "Living With Grief: Coping With Public Tragedy." The live via-satellite program, moderated by Cokie Roberts, will be broadcast Wednesday, April 30, 2003, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm EDT. The teleconference will examine the factors that define a public tragedy and offer insight and advice to organizations and professionals as they support their communities and help those coping with loss.

Panelists for the program include:

  • Kenneth J. Doka, PhD, MDiv
  • LaVone Hazell, MS
  • Marcia Lattanzi-Licht, MA, RN, LPC
  • Nadine Reimer Penner, ACSW, LSCSW

The teleconference is seen each year by more than 100,000 people in the U.S. and Canada. Registration for the teleconference began in late September. For more information or to register your organization, visit their web site at www.hospicefoundation.org/teleconference.
