Tucson, Arizona to Host AMDA's Winter Management Conference
The second annual AMDA Winter Conference on Clinical Management and Medical
Direction in Long Term Care will be held November 26-December 2, 2001, in
Tucson, Arizona. This year's conference will include three components.
Attendees can mix and match components to meet their needs.
Component 1--The Core Curriculum on Medical Direction is designed for
medical directors who are interested in certification and will be offered as
follows:
Module B--November 27-28
Module C--November 29-30
Module A--December 1-2
Component 2--The Advanced Course on Medical Direction focuses on management
topics ranging from regulatory compliance to survey issues. It is designed to
keep experienced medical directors up-to-date on issues facing them in their
long term care practice.
Component 3--The Clinical Management Course, the newest addition to our
conference, will focus on clinical information on geriatric syndromes prevalent
in the long term care population. The component is geared for medical directors,
attending physicians, nurse practitioners, geriatric fellows, and other members
of the interdisciplinary team.
The Winter Conference on Medical Direction's varied curriculum appeals to a
