Tucson, Arizona to Host AMDA's Winter Management Conference

The second annual AMDA Winter Conference on Clinical Management and Medical Direction in Long Term Care will be held November 26-December 2, 2001, in Tucson, Arizona. This year's conference will include three components. Attendees can mix and match components to meet their needs.

Component 1--The Core Curriculum on Medical Direction is designed for medical directors who are interested in certification and will be offered as follows:

Module B--November 27-28
Module C--November 29-30
Module A--December 1-2

Component 2--The Advanced Course on Medical Direction focuses on management topics ranging from regulatory compliance to survey issues. It is designed to keep experienced medical directors up-to-date on issues facing them in their long term care practice.

Component 3--The Clinical Management Course, the newest addition to our conference, will focus on clinical information on geriatric syndromes prevalent in the long term care population. The component is geared for medical directors, attending physicians, nurse practitioners, geriatric fellows, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

The Winter Conference on Medical Direction's varied curriculum appeals to a widespread audience. We hope you will encourage your members to attend and help us spread the word by listing this information in your newsletters and web sites.
