Initial responses from participants in AMDA's online CME programs
have been overwhelmingly positive. All programs are approved for
AMA-PRA Category 1 CME credit. These courses can be completed online or
on CD-ROM. Advantages of this learning environment include:
- No travel or hotel stay required.
- Set your own pace; complete a course a little at a time or all at once.
- Take a course anytime, anywhere (internet connection is not needed when taking a course on CD-ROM).
- Courses include streaming audio and video lecture, synchronized slide presentation, and downloadable handouts.
Each web-based course is only $20 for AMDA members, $40 for
nonmembers. All courses are delivered online, or you can order them on
CD-ROM for an additional $8 shipping & handling.
One course, "Challenges in Pain Management: A Balancing Act,"
is free of charge for members and nonmembers. This course is ideal for
physicians who wish to familiarize themselves with the web-based CME
format.
