Call For Nominations to the CMD Board of Directors
Do you know someone who would be an asset to the CMD Board of Directors? Would the individual you
have in mind be willing/able to meet the following expectations of Board members?
- Hold a current CMD credential.
- Fill a three-year term.
- Participate in three meetings each year:
August at the AMDCP office in Columbia, MD
June and December via conference call.
- Review new certification and recertification applications to prepare for discussion, prior to each meeting.
- Review and respond, via e-mail or regular mail, requests of non-AMDA groups for AMDA CMD
credit hours for enduring materials (e.g., self-study printed/Web/CD ROM materials).
- Work with program planning groups that request AMDA CMD credit hours to ensure that the resulting course materials are of interest/applicable to certified medical directors. This occurs at intervals and board members rotate to accept projects.
- Serve on ad hoc workgroups as needed to move projects forward.
- Participate in strategic planning.
