Brechtelsbauer Wins Prestigious State Honor
AMDA member David Brechtelsbauer, MD, CMD, recently was named 2004 South
Dakota Family Doctor of the year by the South Dakota Academy of Family Physicians.
According to the organization, his peers chose him for this honor because
of his longstanding devotion to his profession and his community. “He
is an advocate for our residents and our facility,” said Cathy Assid,
Director of Nursing for Good Samaritan Center, where Brechtelsbauer serves
as medical director. She added, “He really supports the staff, and
we’re very lucky to have him.”
