Kudos to the 25th Anniversary Symposium
AMDA's 25th Anniversary Symposium, held in San Diego in March, was one
of the strongest and best attended meetings so far with more than 1800
participants.
Strategic Planning
AMDA is surveying all members to update the profile of long term care
physicians and find out how members feel about AMDA and the future of
the long term care field.
House of Delegates Passes Key Resolutions
Under the leadership of Chair Randy Huss, MD, CMD, the AMDA House of Delegates (HOD) moved through a full agenda in San Diego.
Core Curriculum Module B
One hundred sixty registrants attended Module B of the Core Curriculum on Medical Direction at the 25th Anniversary Symposium.
Attending Physicians Curriculum for Long Term Care
The fourth Attending Physicians Curriculum for Long Term Care pilot
course was held in conjunction with AMDA's 25th Anniversary Symposium;
two more are scheduled in 2002.

GMDA Forges Relationships Toward Unity
The Georgia Medical Directors Association (GMDA) has actively formed
relationships with organizations and agencies throughout the state to
promote long term care.
FMDA Issues Statement Against Report on Electronic Surveillance
The Florida Medical Directors Association has released a statement
opposing a report recommending video surveillance cameras in NF
bedrooms and bathrooms.
