AMDA's 26th Annual Symposium Preparations
Registration
The 2003 AMDA Annual Symposium is just a few short weeks away. If you have not already registered
for the meeting, we will only be accepting registrations through
February 21, 2003. After that, you are welcome to register for the
meeting on site at the Orlando World Center Marriott beginning
Wednesday, March 5. If you have questions regarding registration,

Hotel Information
The Marriott Orlando World Center Hotel will serve as the
headquarters for AMDA's 26th Annual Symposium. This deluxe 200-acre
resort is set in a lush tropical setting. The hotel offers swimming
with 4 pools, 2 children's pools, 10 restaurants and lounges ranging
from fine to casual dining, 24-hour room service, spa services, 24-hour
fitness center, tennis, golf, and daily resort activities.

Discount Disney Theme Park Tickets
There is still time to purchase discount tickets to the Orlando attractions.

ticket prices, including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea

Attraction tickets must be ordered by February 22, 2003, as the tickets are shipped directly to you in advance of the meeting.

single occupancy and $239 for double occupancy. All rooms have private
balconies with patio furniture.
AMDA's room block has sold out. Individuals may contact the hotel at
800-621-0638 to see if any rooms have become available due to

Travel Discounts
AMDA has negotiated discounts with Delta Airlines and Southwest
Airlines for the Annual Symposium. Delta Airlines is offering special
rates, which allow you a 5% discount off Delta's published round-trip
fares. By purchasing your ticket 60 days prior to your departure date,
you can receive an additional 5% bonus discount. To take advantage of
these discounts, call Delta Meeting Network Reservations at
800/241-6760, Monday-Sunday, 8:00 am-11:00 pm (EST) and refer to File
Number 192592A.
Southwest Airlines offers a 10% discount off most fares for air
travel to and from AMDA's 26th Annual Symposium. Call Southwest
Airlines Group and Meetings Reservations at 800/433-5368, and reference
the assigned AMDA ID Code #J7700. Reservations Sales Agents are
available 7:00 am-8:00 pm (CST) Monday through Friday, or 8:30 am-5:30
pm (CST) Saturday and Sunday. Reservations must be made five or more
days prior to the travel to take advantage of the Southwest offer.
Airport
The Orlando International Airport is approximately 17 miles from the
World Center Marriott. A taxicab ride is approximately $38 one way.
Convenient and affordable transfer between the Orlando International
Airport and the Orlando World Center Marriott is offered by the Mears
Transportation Group. AMDA will include discounted coupons for
roundtrip fares in the attendee confirmation materials. Simply proceed
to one of the Mears Motor Shuttle ticket booths, located in the baggage
claim area to redeem your coupon. Shuttles depart every 30 minutes from
the airport. Roundtrip shuttle service is $25 per person w/coupon.
