2002 Young Career Scholarship Awards
The AMDA Foundation announces the 2002 Young Career Scholarship
awards. These awards are designed to provide young career medical
directors (those who have been in practice for less than 5 years) with
an opportunity to attend the AMDA Annual Symposium.
Seven Awardees will receive a grant up to $2000 to cover the expenses
of travel, hotel and meeting registration. This award is supported
through a grant from Pfizer.
The following are the criteria for the Young Career Scholarship Awards:
- Medical Director who has been in practice no more than 5 years and has not previously attended an AMDA Annual Symposium.
- Has been actively involved in the state/regional chapter and shows leadership potential.
- Awardees are expected to attend the entire symposium and are invited to a special reception hosted by Pfizer.
Each state/regional chapter may nominate one applicant who has been
approved by the chapter's executive committee. Nomination is in the
form of a letter or e–mail to the AMDA Foundation
that contains contact information for the applicant and a brief
statement of support (no more than 150 words). The application deadline
is February 10, 2002. Please e–mail applications to Janet Pailet at japail@erols.com or fax to 646/314–4976.
The awardees will be chosen by lottery to ensure an impartial
process. In subsequent years, those states chosen from the lottery will
be deleted from future applicant pools until all state/regional
chapters have been included.
If you have any questions, please contact Janet Pailet, Consultant to AMDA Foundation, at 212/678–4868 or e–mail to japail@erols.com.
