AMDA Foundation Announces Next Meeting of the LTC Research Network
The AMDA Foundation Research Network
will meet at the AMDA Symposium in San Diego on Wednesday, March 20,
2002, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. This meeting information is not
included in the preliminary program.
The objectives of the meeting are
- To discuss a newly initiated network study examining hospital to nursing home transfer documentation
- To discuss methodological issues on two prospective studies (see below for more detailed overview):
- The impact of lipid lowering medication on long term care residents
- The
circumstances under which tubing feeds are used in long term care (LTC)
residents and the related patient/family outcomes from their placement
- To further develop a study on the impact of physician telephone prescribing in LTC facilities
- To present and finalize the research results from a falls study
All members of the research network are invited to attend, as well
as prospective network members. If you were unable to attend the Dallas
meeting, this will be a great opportunity to meet members and become
involved with studies that you're interested in. To become a part of
