Research Network Membership Profile
The key component of the AMDA Foundation Research Network's mission
is to conduct research within the long term care community. In order to
do that, we need to be ready to respond to research opportunities from
industry, academia and government sources. One critical element of our
response is the ability to describe the environment in which the
research will take place. Will the environment contribute to the
success of the project? What are the unique features of the environment
and how do they contribute to the project? What is the level of
institutional support? What is the level of research experience of the
research team? These and similar questions can only be answered in a
research application if we have the answers available; thus the need to
have current information about the members of the Research Network.
The Research Network Membership Profile has been developed to obtain
information about the Network members and also obtain information about
their facilities from publicly reported data such as the OSCAR data. In
an effort to have current data available to respond quickly to research
opportunities, the Network has a requirement of membership that each
member will provide profile information when they join and will update
this information every two years.
The newly revised membership profile will soon be available on the Internet at www.amdafoundation.org/researchnetwork/rnsurvey.htm.
You may find the Profile to be similar to other studies on medical
directors characteristics. Please take the time to complete the Profile
and be counted as a valuable resource to enable the Research Network to
pursue its worthwhile mission of conducting research in long term care.
