AMDA CMD Requirement

Talk of Maryland's bold new regulations to require certification for all medical directors prompted a great deal of discussion and concern among participants in Atlanta.

To clarify: AMDA has no national position on requiring AMDA CMD certification for any group of physicians. We do, however, have a mission to respond to the educational needs of attending physicians and medical directors everywhere. As such, we will be working with the state of Maryland to provide access to AMDA CMD accredited course work that enables them to meet their new state requirement for certification.
