that I experienced was positive. Very organized, professional,
informative, and educational."
- "You guys put on a very educational meeting. I
could tell you put a lot of hard work into it to make it a great
meeting. We really appreciate it."
State Chapter Connections Booth Premieres
The debut of the State Chapter Connections Booth was well received
by members and exhibitors at AMDA's Annual Symposium in Atlanta,
Georgia. It was a perfect opportunity for state chapters
to network with members, industry representatives, and other state
chapters. Many thanks to the state chapters for their involvement: Florida,
Georgia,
Missouri,
North Carolina,
Ohio,
Pennsylvania,
South Carolina, and
Texas.
Some states have provided recommendations for next year, which we
will try to incorporate. If you have suggestions, please contact Susan
Gutierrez, Membership Coordinator, at 410/740–9743, ext. 106 or e–mail
to sgutierrez@amda.com.
We encourage other state chapters to participate in the booth at the 2002 Annual Symposium on March 21–24 in San Diego, California.
State Chapter Staff Meeting
The Membership and Government Affairs Teams held an enthusiastic and
productive meeting with State Chapter Staff during AMDA's Annual
Symposium. States represented were Florida, Georgia, North Carolina,
Ohio, South Carolina, and Texas.
The state chapter staff were pleased with AMDA's reorganization in
membership and the national office's renewed interest in state
chapters. They expressed their interest in working with AMDA on various
projects, such as surveying the states in order to compare demographic
information, especially, responsibilities and salary ranges for
executive directors.
The national office appreciates the positive feedback and would like to thank the state chapter staff for attending the meeting.
