AMDA sponsors its “Institute for LTC Practice Improvement.” This series of regional courses have been developed to provide practical education to members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) in any setting across the LTC continuum, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, CCRCs, hospice, and home care. This program is designed to meet the practical needs of the following members of the IDT:
- MD (attending physicians)
- PA
- NP
- DON
- RN
- Administrator
- Pharmacist
Participants will learn about clinical innovations and hone skills related to challenges that are common to the LTC continuum.
Entitled Finding Your Way in Long Term Care, this course will provide valuable education to enhance your knowledge through clinical, regulatory, communication, and risk management presentations. Content is built upon the most recent Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) on Pressure Ulcers, Urinary Incontinence, Diabetes, and Pain Management and is designed to reinforce the roles of members of the IDT. Participants will leave with valuable take home messages and implementation tools, such as the relevant CPGs and Protocols for Practitioner Notification, and links to practical information on AMDA’s web site.
Confirmation emails will be sent to you upon receipt of your registration and payment. Hotel reservations and incidentals are the responsibility of the registrant.
