Education is central to AMDA's mission. To further that mission, AMDA provides up-to-date clinical and management information and tools for implementation that are essential to practice in the Long Term Care setting. AMDA delivers its education content through live programs, self-study activities, and joint sponsorship.
As an ACCME accredited provider, AMDA designates AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM for each of its education activities. As part of its goal to serve physicians, AMDA provides AAFP prescribed credit, endorsement by AGS toward its Geriatric Recognition Award, AOA category 1A credit, CMD credit. AMDA also recognizes the importance of the interdisciplinary team and offers CE units/credit hours for nurses, administrators and pharmacists for selected approved content.
