Physician Visits
CMS has rescinded Change Request (CR) 3096 and the accompanying MLN Matters Article #MM3096 (previously known as the Medlearns Matters article) concerning revised payment policy on non-physician practitioners in SNFs and NFs. The agency will issue a revised Change Request, but in the meantime, providers should continue to rely on the November 13, 2003 Survey and Certification Letter on Physician Delegation of Tasks in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and Nursing Facilities (NFs), below. AMDA will continue to keep you updated on this issue.
